Water Day
Lucy had Water Day at preschool on Thursday. Edison joined her & they had a blast! There were kiddie pools, sprinklers, slip and slides, bubbles, and popsicles.
Happy Half Birthday Lucy & Edison
Lucy and Edison were very excited to celebrate their half birthdays on Wednesday after family pictures. Per their request we ate at The Waffle House. Yum!
I love how close Lucy & Edison have always been. I will never forget the morning we brought Edison home for the first time. I went in to labor after the kids went to bed on Saturday night. We were back home by 8ish the next morning with Edison in tow. As soon as we walked in, Lucy ran over and asked, "That my Edison?" He was the best birthday present she ever got, and they have been pretty codependent every since! We refer to them as the old couple because they sound and act like 80 year olds who have been married since their teens. Holding hands, laughing, reading together, correcting each other... They are the best of friends.

Edison got a fishing pole so daddy can take him fishing in the pond around the corner from our house.
Lucy got a new basket to carry her stuffed animals on her bike and some foam sticker letters since she is learning to spell.

Just-a-Swingin
Wednesday we had our family pictures taken at Forsyth Park. It was about time since the pictures hanging in our livingroom are from when Edison was 7 months old. Clay loves to look at our family pictures on the wall and we always joke that he's looking for himself. So now Clay will officially be represented! Once we were done with pictures, we spent a little time playing at the park.

Ebony and Ivory
It's Summer in Savannah
Our neighborhood pool opened May 1st and our kids were not going to miss it! They would love to go every day from now till the day we leave for South Dakota! I haven't let Clay get in yet...it is too cold for me until at least June.
Last weekend we took Clay to the beach for the first time. He loved it, hated it, and then slept through it.
Maya had her final soccer game and got her trophy. She really enjoyed playing on the same team as her friend Honor.

This is when he was loving it! For a kid who won't eat with his mouth, he was sure excited to try some sand.
This was after the hating. He zonked out in my arms for the rest of the time.

Clay enjoyed watching from the sidelines. It is so great to see him look like a real, chunky, happy baby!
Maya and Honor with their trophies. The ended the season with 1 loss and 1 tie. Yay blue sharks!
