Haircuts: A Family Affair

We decided it was time for another hair cut for our hairy baby.  It is a slightly tramatic experience, so best to do it as infrequently as possible.  Here are the before, during, and after shots.
Before the torture started...

Buzz, buzz...
Snip, snip...

We had to bring out the computer for some PBS entertainment.

Ta-da.  The after shot.

And a side view.

Our Last Hoorah as a Family of 7

We decided to take a quick weekend trip to Atlanta as our last Hoorah as a family of 7.  We wanted to make some special memories and just have some quality time together.  Thankfully, we had a free place to stay (thanks Dean and Carol), free tickets to Imagine the Children's Museum of Atlanta (thanks Grandma Joanne), a free ticket to the Coke Museum (thanks again Grandma Joanne), and free Zoo Atlanta tickets (thanks Public Library).  So it was a cheap trip (which is important when saving money to travel around the world to get another daughter) and so much fun!
We started off at the American Girl Store so Maya could spend her hard earned money to get Kit's ears pierced and Lucy could oogle over all the dolls and try to pick which one she would like for her birthday.  Then we hit all the above places and ate at The Varsity.

Isabel and Maya at the Coke Museum.

Cheers!  The girls had fun trying Coke products from around the world.

Lunch at The Varsity.  Yummy!

None of my children had ever had Coke from a glass bottle!
Lucy was the first to pop her open.

Fun at Zoo Atlanta

Mmmm...Carousel.  Building up the immune system!

The Fab 7.

Choo, choo a train ride around the zoo.

The boys.

My children would like one of these for Christmas.  A six seater if possible :)
More pictures coming soon... Problems with blogspot upload :(

Always a Party With the Super K's

Last week we celebrated Maya's 8 1/2 birthday.  This week we are celebrating Isabel's 10 1/2 birthday and Clay's first anniversary of his Gotcha Day.  So much fun!
Maya decorated her own half birthday cake.  Her
requested dinner was spaghetti and meatballs.
Edison wanted an updated picture of him holding Clay.

Here's the picture we were updating!  Edison loves this picture.
He uses it as his Bible bookmark.

Sweet brothers!

Yay Clay!  We are so thankful for you!

We played miniature golf to celebrate Clay's Gotcha Day.
Clay had fun crawling around, throwing rocks, and
chasing balls.

Happy Gotcha Day!

I made Isabel a cinammon sugar bundt cake my friend Amy used to make in Colorado.
We also had mashed potatoes, cooked carrots, and grilled marinated chicken.

Pictures in the Park

Last weekend we got to hang out at Forsyth Park during the EmmAva Photography Fundraiser for Zoey.  The kids found a couple branches to play on that were even more fun than the playground.

Busy Boy

Clay is a busy boy these days.  He crawls all over, pulls up, and is in to everything!
One day I heard a noise on the step and there was Clay!
He's so proud when he climbs to the top.
Clay loves to stretch up to play piano.

He is still very doted on by his big sisters!

As soon as Clay hears the front door open he crawls over as fast as he can with
the hope of making it to this corner so he can play in the dirt.  For a kid who doesn't like to eat
food, he sure loves dirt, leaves, sand, paper, and trash!

First Day of School

The three girls are excited to be back at Veritas this year.  They all love school!

Colorado

We spent a fun filled week in Colorado with our wonderful friends.  A huge thanks to the Fanning's, Budzynski's and Willis' for hosting us.  So many great memories!  Here are just a few of the highlights...

Here's the whole gang!  The Spooner's, Fanning's, Budzynski's, Knofczynski's, and Willis'.
We are so thankful for these friends!
Even when we don't see each other for a few years it's like old times when we get together.

We spent a day hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park.
We got stuck in a little rain & hail storm on this hike - added to the adventure!

We ended our day with a hike around the lake.  Beautiful!

The kids completed the little activity books to get their Junior Ranger Badges.
We spent an afternoon at Windsor Lake splashing in the water and building with sand.
Girls Day Out!

The guys.
Bowling with Seth & Amy.

Hanging out at a farm where we got to see the cows get milked and feed the goats.

The Seth Enrichment Program!  Our favorite science camp EVER!
