For us anyway... Our trip started with a string of states that we had not visited before. First stop, Alabama.

Daddy's Birthday & Belated Birthday Parties

Since we were gone for Lucy and Edison's birthdays, their friend parties were a bit delayed (like 2 months).  They didn't mind since they got to celebrate with us before we left, with Grandma and Debi on their birthday, and then again with friends 2 months later.  Edison had a green party with watermelon.  He's a high maintenance fellow!  Lucy had an abstract art party.  So thankful for these two sweet kids!

New Years!

We always ring in New Years with our closest friends who we consider family.  This year I was determined to get some pictures of our fantastic gang.

Here's the whole gang.  We added 4 newbies in 2012.  Can't wait to see what 2013 brings :)

Christmas 2012

Christmas 2012 was a very different Christmas for our family!  Stacey and her dad were flying home from Ukraine on Christmas Day.  Greg was hanging out in Kiev with Zoey waiting on paperwork, and the rest of the kids were at home with friends.  We celebrated Christmas December 30th and a WONDERFUL day it was!  We were so happy to all be together as a family!

No Place Like Home

After 6 months of paperwork and 7 weeks of travel, Otto and Zoey both joined our family in December.  Otto arrived home December 1st and Zoey arrived December 29th.  Our adoption was wild journey.  You can catch the highlights at www.anothersuperk.blogspot.com.  Here are the ultimate highlights.

Fun Times with Grandma, Debi, and Grandpa

We were so thankful to have Grandma Joanne, Aunt Debi, and Grandpa Jim holding down the fort at home while we were gone.  The kids and the adults all seemed to have a fun time.  They made some great memories!  Here are a few of the highlights.  Too bad they didn't take pictures of some of the best times like driving away with the back van door open, forgetting a child at the top of the escalator, and fishing poo out of the bath.

We got to celebrate Grandpa's birthday before he left.

Rescue Mission

November 5th is the big day!  We'll pack up and leave for Ukraine to bust our babies out of their orphanage and bring them home.

We flew out of Savannah to DC to Frankfurt to Kiev.  Our first overseas travel!

Big Birthday Bash

Knowing we'd be in Ukraine for Lucy and Edison's birthday, we decided to have one big birthday bash for the three of us.
